Structure-Engineered Metal Oxides for Environmental Applications and Energy Storage/Conversion

Environmental pollution and energy crisis have been severe issues globally. Rational design and synthesis of novel materials are of high importance to deal with these problems. Structure engineering is an efficient approach to alter and/or improve the properties of the existing materials. Herein, this talk will cover the synthesis of surface-engineered titanium dioxide (TiO2) nanomaterials and their applications in photocatalysis and lithium-ion batteries. After that, hydrogenated transition metal oxides will be discussed mainly as high-activity, low-cost catalysts in the application of water electrolysis.
报告人简介:
晏晓东毕业于北京化工大学材料科学与工程学院,师从先进复合材料研究中心杨小平教授,从事碳材料的掺杂改性及其在锂离子电池和超级电容器中的应用。2014年,晏晓东加入密苏里大学堪萨斯分校化学系陈晓波教授课题组,主要从事金属氧化物的改性及其在电催化,光催化,锂离子电池和超级电容器中的应用。2013年至今,发表SCI学术论文20余篇,其中第一作者(含共同一作)12篇,累计影响因子超过115,平均引用率大于5次。
